Simplex communication involves two or more people having a conversation on a single frequency. The signal travels directly from the person who is transmitting to the people who are receiving. This is the simplest form of radio communication and it works well for people who are within radio range of one another.
Because they transmit and receive on the same frequencies, FRS and GMRS radios can talk to each other.
